Pilates: In 1923, German-born Joseph H. Pilates brought his unique method of physical and mental conditioning to the United States. His study of yoga and the martial arts, and his work with physicians and his wife Clara (a nurse), led to the development of his conditioning system. More than 70 years later, his techniques became the cornerstone of the Pilates Method. In 1967, the movement took an explosive leap forward when Ron Fletcher moved to Los Angeles. Fletcher, a dancer, possessed deep knowledge of the method and added many of his own important contributions. In 1984, the Center for Sports Medicine at Saint Francis Memorial Hospital, San Francisco, began to use some Pilates' concepts to rehabilitate and condition dancers and athletes. Work at Saint Francis became recognized internationally, bringing it to the attention of mainstream health and fitness communities.

TPI Golf Specific Training: Training designed with the golfer in mind. Improve your game and reduce the chance of injury. Exercises focus on the biomechanical requirements of the golf swing: muscle coordination, flexibility, muscular endurance, range of motion, and balance. With regular attendance, participants will improve core control and strength, increase range of motion of the spine, hips, and shoulder girdle, improve balance, and enhance posture. Research has demonstrated an increase in the club head speed of participants in this type of exercise program.

GYROTONIC®: The
GYROTONIC® method is a unique system
of exercises which simultaneously lengthens the
connective tissues while strengthening the
musculoskeletal system. The supportive nature of
this system enables one to exercise in an
environment that is gentle and effective.
GYROTONIC® movement developed
using key principles from yoga, swimming,
martial arts, and ballet. It is gaining
popularity in rehabilitation and pilates studios
all over the world.
The basis of the GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM®
is a weight and pulley system. The system
provides the same amount of resistance for the
whole range of movement, allowing the body to
move in an unrestricted manner through a
multitude of coordinated actions. GYROTONIC®
motion patterns help restore range of motion
deficits, increase strength and flexibility,
improve coordination and posture, and work on
core stabilization.
