Physician Referral Service

The HSS Physician Referral Service is a free-of-charge service designed to ensure that patients are connected with the physician that best meets their medical needs at Hospital for Special Surgery. The service is staffed by highly skilled professionals, who are knowledgeable about the capabilities of the hospital and all the physicians in the program.

When you call our service, our Physician Referral Representatives will ask for vital information – patient’s ailment, demographics and insurance to identify the appropriate physician for you. In addition, the representative will connect you to that physician’s office to secure an appointment. The representative will stay on the line to ensure that all your needs are met. No caller is ever put on hold and unanswered calls are sent directly to voicemail and returned within one business day.
